Local MP3 encoder: source and licences

SubeR uses lamejs 1.2.1, the JavaScript implementation of LAME, under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3. Audio encoding takes place on your device; this encoder does not upload recordings.

Build modification and replacement

The encoder algorithm source is unchanged. SubeR’s October 28, 2026 build recipe replaces the original browserify/Closure pipeline with pinned esbuild 0.25.12 while retaining the original source-flattening rules. The source archive contains the preferred editable source, build recipe, input/output hashes, application integration source and replacement instructions.

You can modify the library, rebuild it, and replace the standalone /work/vendor/lame.min.js file with an interface-compatible version. The documented build command uses an existing esbuild 0.25.12 installation; it does not download dependencies. See REBUILD.md in the source archive.
