Pocket calculator

Result display

Display only: rounds halves away from zero. Exact values continue into the next operation. Cents view does not decide payroll rounding.

Ready

Plain arithmetic. No payroll rules applied.

Works left to right, like a basic desk calculator. No operator precedence. Repeated = keeps the result.

Precision & keyboard help

Enter up to 18 digits and 12 decimal places. Typed entries remain as entered. Result display offers 4 decimals for rates and calculations, 2 decimals for a cents view, or up to 12 decimals. Exact values are retained between operations; only the displayed result is rounded, with halves away from zero. The operation line shows up to 12 decimals. Final currency rounding must follow your approved process, not this display setting. Results over 30 whole-number digits are rejected. This does not calculate tax, deductions or actual pay.

While the calculator has focus, use number keys, +, −, *, /, decimal point, = or Enter. Backspace deletes a digit; Delete clears. Escape leaves this calculator open. Tab to a keypad button and use Enter or Space to press it. Clicking a keypad button or typing arithmetic returns focus to the calculator; Enter then gives the result.

Temporary only. Not saved, included in backups, or copied into other fields. Do not enter confidential records.
