01 / PAY-PERIOD PLANNER

Weekly or biweekly schedule

Build consecutive calendar periods from your own anchor date. Biweekly means every 14 days, not twice a month.

Dates, assumptions & limits

Period end = start + 6 days (weekly) or 13 days (biweekly). The next period starts the following day. Payday = end + your lag; cutoff = end − your lead. Dates are calendar dates, independent of time zones. Cutoff must fall within its period.

No weekends, public holidays, banking delays, employer calendars or legal deadlines are adjusted. Confirm every date in your approved system. This is not a payroll calendar feed, remittance schedule or calendar subscription.

02 / HOURS WORKSHEET

Days worked & time rows

Count days actually worked

Choose a pay period, then check only dates actually worked. A partial day counts once; two shifts on one date count once. This is an attendance-day count, not fractional full-day equivalents.

My schedule references (optional)

Keep a pay schedule and school calendar visible together. Reference only: no automatic dates, calculations or changes to your worked entries. Anyone viewing this device can see them; browser recovery may restore form text.

My pay schedule

Use a non-confidential schedule, not a pay stub or employee record. PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB and 16 million pixels. HEIC and PDF are not supported; use an image copy, website link, or enter dates manually in the tools. Images stay in this page; nothing is uploaded, read by AI or imported. No automatic save or backup inclusion. Avoid secret or employee-specific links. Opening a link visits that website under its privacy policy.

My school calendar

Use a non-confidential schedule, not a pay stub or employee record. PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB and 16 million pixels. HEIC and PDF are not supported; use an image copy, website link, or enter dates manually in the tools. Images stay in this page; nothing is uploaded, read by AI or imported. No automatic save or backup inclusion. Avoid secret or employee-specific links. Opening a link visits that website under its privacy policy.

Both endpoints included, up to 62 calendar days. No dates selected automatically. Changing either date clears your selections.

Worked example & limits

Fictional example, October 5–18, 2026: select October 5, 6, 7 and 8 at 7.5 hours each, plus October 9 at 3.75 hours. That is 5 distinct dates worked and 33.75 entered hours. A shorter Friday still counts as one date.

For a school-worked-days count, select only dates actually worked at school. Do not automatically count holidays, closures or PA days; confirm whether you actually worked each date. Counts only checked dates, never weekdays or paid leave automatically. The optional total adds your entered hours; it does not decide payable or insurable hours, EI eligibility, official ROE totals or annual salary. Use time rows below for elapsed-time and break arithmetic.

Temporary only; no employee identifiers or confidential records. Not saved, included in backups, or copied into time rows. Workspace reset/import leaves this independent counter alone; Clear day count or Clear calculations removes it.

Time rows & flat-rate estimate

Add up to 14 days or time blocks. Enter total elapsed hours including any unpaid break, then subtract only the break minutes you choose.

Use non-identifying labels, such as “Monday” or “Block A”. Each row allows 0–24 hours, 0–59 additional minutes and unpaid break minutes up to that row’s total. Example: 8 h + 0 min − 30 min = 7.5 hours. Enter 0 explicitly, rather than leaving an unknown blank.

What this estimate does not decide

Remaining minutes = entered hours × 60 + minutes − your entered unpaid breaks. Decimal hours = total remaining minutes ÷ 60. The optional subtotal uses all remaining minutes at your rate and rounds once to cents, with half cents upward.

Break classification and payable time must be confirmed elsewhere. This is a flat-rate planning subtotal before deductions, not a wage calculation, timesheet approval or entitlement decision. Custom rules below do not change the calculation.

03 / YOUR CHECKLIST

My private review steps

Make a checklist for this planning session. The original six review prompts remain below; your own list can be used beside them.

    No custom steps yet.

A checked box records your own progress, not proof of accuracy, approval or compliance. Removing a step can be undone until the next removal, reset or import.

    04 / YOUR RULE NOTEBOOK

    Workplace rules to verify

Keep your own reminders about local procedures. These are unverified workplace notes, not verified law. They never change calculations or submit payroll.

Up to 20 notes. Check the current official guidance, employment agreement and approved workplace procedure before relying on any note.

      LOCAL CONTROL

Keep a copy, only if you choose

The workspace above is session-only. A backup includes its schedule fields, time rows, flat rate, added custom checklist steps and rule notes. Finish adding any draft note before downloading. It does not include the existing calculators or saved shortcuts below. A JSON backup is a plain, unencrypted file, not cloud-secure storage. Download only on a trusted device; your browser or synced Downloads folder may retain copies.

Nothing is automatically saved. Download a backup before leaving if you want to keep this workspace.

      Explain a pay question

Guided templates, not AI. Choose, review and edit. This does not automatically summarize emails, check calculations or access payroll records.

      Your short summary (optional)

Use anonymized or fictional information only. Do not paste confidential emails, names, employee IDs, SINs, banking or medical details. This summary is inserted as written, not analyzed. No automatic save, upload or inclusion in workspace backups. Browser recovery and anyone viewing this device may expose entries.

Optional AI help with your reply

Keep using the local templates without an account, or review a prompt and take it to an AI service yourself. These are external links, not AI built into this page.

Prepare a prompt for ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini

Use anonymized or fictional information only. Remove names, employee IDs, SINs, financial account details, medical information and confidential employer records. This tool does not automatically anonymize text. Follow your workplace’s AI policy. Guest access does not mean private or anonymous access.

      1. Review and edit the prompt below. Adding your current draft makes a separate local copy, never changes your reply, and does not send it.
      2. Confirm you removed private information, then copy the prompt.
      3. Open a provider and decide whether to paste and submit it there. Nothing is pasted, sent or returned automatically.

This prompt stays in page memory, outside workspace backups. Copying uses your clipboard, which your device or clipboard-sync settings may retain. Opening a provider sends normal website request information, not this prompt. Pasting there shares the text with that provider under its terms and privacy policy.

      • Open ChatGPT (external)Can be used before creating an account where available. Sign in to save chats; guest conversations are not saved to account history.
      • Open Perplexity (external)Free core search is available. Sign-in may be required; guest chat is not guaranteed. Provider limits and paid features vary.
      • Open Gemini (external)Some web features work without signing in. More features and saved activity need an eligible Google Account; availability varies.

No paid plan is needed to use SubeR’s local helper. Provider availability, account rules and limits can change. Use an approved work account if your workplace requires one. Check all AI output: it can invent facts, calculations, policies or sources. Verify amounts and current rules in your approved system before replying. Do not treat an AI response as a payroll decision.

      01 / CONVERT

      Hours ↔ decimal

      7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5 hours, not 7.30.

      HOW IT WORKS · EXAMPLE7 h 30 min7.5 hClock timeDecimal time
      Example: 7 h + 30 ÷ 60 = 7.5 h.
      Method & rounding

Hours + minutes ÷ 60. Decimal output rounds to 4 places; reverse conversion rounds to the nearest minute. Not a timesheet rounding policy.

      02 / COMPARE

      Hourly rate difference

Check the arithmetic of a rate change over a chosen number of hours.

      HOW IT WORKS · EXAMPLE24 / h26 / h+2 / h× 8 hours= 16 CAD
      Example only: (26 − 24) × 8 h = 16 CAD difference.
      Method & limits

(New rate − old rate) × hours. Rates allow 2 decimal places. The difference rounds once to cents, with half cents away from zero. A negative amount means the new rate is lower.

Arithmetic only: excludes taxes, pensions, premiums and other adjustments. Not pay determination or a retro-pay instruction. Check employer rules and approvals.

      WORKSHEET / QUICK CALCULATION

      Control-total reconciliation

Check whether supplied totals add up, without entering individual records.

      HOW IT WORKS · EXAMPLEEarnings 1,000Net 800Less 2000gap
      Example: 1,000 − 200 = 800 CAD; recorded 800, difference 0.
      Method & limits

Expected net = earnings − deductions. Difference = recorded net − expected net. A positive difference means the recorded amount is higher. Uses exact cents. This does not verify whether earnings or deductions are correct, or determine anyone’s pay.

      WORKSHEET / QUICK CALCULATION

      Period-to-period comparison

Compare the same measure across two matching periods.

HOW IT WORKS · EXAMPLEPrevious800Current1,000+25%+200 CAD
      Example: (1,000 − 800) ÷ 800 = 25% change.
      Method & limits

Difference = current − previous. Percentage change = difference ÷ previous × 100, rounded to 2 decimals. A zero previous total has no defined percentage change. Check differences in headcount, period length and scope in your approved system.

      Compare income tax withheld

Enter amounts already shown on two pays. This describes the difference, not whether either deduction is correct.

Choose the format separately for each pay. Combined means income tax only: exclude CPP/QPP, EI, QPIP and other deductions. A combined amount is never split automatically.

Blank means unknown, not zero. Use non-negative CAD amounts, up to 2 decimal places. If a line is a negative adjustment or credit, review it in your approved payroll system instead.

      Pay A · baseline
      Pay B · comparison

Temporary page entries only. Not saved, included in planning backups, uploaded or sent to the links below. No employee identifiers or confidential records.

      How to read the comparison

Change is Pay B minus Pay A. A positive amount means more income tax withheld; a negative amount means less. Percentage change is the difference divided by Pay A × 100, rounded to 2 decimals, not a tax rate. With a zero Pay A baseline, percentage change is undefined. A total requires both components or an entered combined income-tax amount.

Possible checks in your approved system: actual payment dates, pay frequency (biweekly is not twice-monthly), province or territory of employment, gross pay and any bonus or retroactive payment. These prompts do not establish why amounts differ. This tool does not calculate correct withholding, net pay, final tax or a refund.

For an independent calculation, enter required information yourself at CRA PDOC (external). PDOC does not calculate Quebec provincial income tax. For Quebec income tax and Quebec-administered deductions, use Revenu Québec WebRAS (external). No comparison values are prefilled or handed off.

      03 / DOUBLE-CHECK

      Before you finish

A starting checklist, not an exhaustive compliance check. Review information in your approved payroll system, not on this page.

      HOW IT WORKS · EXAMPLEApprovedinputsControltotalsEmployerapproval
Illustrative review flow, not a completed check or compliance certification.

0 of 6 review prompts checked

Checking every box does not certify payroll accuracy or compliance.

This clears only the existing calculators and six review prompts. It does not remove your shortcuts or the new planning workspace above.

      More tools you already have

Calendar days are not payroll deadlines or working days. Other tool pages have their own notices and may include optional external AI search forms. Do not send confidential payroll information.
